We challenge, encourage, and offer hope to members through peer support, educational services, social and recreational activities, advocacy, and opportunities for community involvement.

Group Activities

What’s a typical day at A.C.E., Inc. like?

We offer two scheduled activities a day, a noon meal, and daily van transportation. Our activities calendar has included trips to museums, our annual overnight experience, movies, the theater, trail hiking, bowling, men’s and women’s groups, Bingo, corn-hole tournaments, holiday parties and supportive or educational speakers from our community.

Our members pay dues of just $5.00 per month to help with the costs related to our activities, community trips and special events. The transportation we offer also helps members to keep their doctor and counseling appointments.

TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

A.C.E. provides limited transportation. Members can ride daily both to and from the center as well as various other planned social and recreational activities. Members simply need to call ahead of time to let us know they will be needing transportation on that day.

Other Services

We offer peer support, self-help and educational opportunities, and our NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Connection support group called Hopeful Hearts.

Recently, we offered the WHAM (Whole Health Action Management) program to our members, as well as other groups and activities via our private Facebook page, ACE Choices Peer Support Group.

Our facility boasts a washer and dryer for members’ use. Members also have the opportunity to take part in committee work, our board of directors and our monthly all-members meetings.
We have recently expanded our NAMI Hopeful Hearts group into Carrollton, and we also now offer evening groups in New Philadelphia

Community Outreach

A.C.E. attempts to perform various outreach projects. Currently, we provide food to assist in feeding residents of our local domestic violence shelter, our homeless shelter, the police and fire departments, and our local crisis unit.

We regularly set up information booths at local events to reach out to the community
